Resin Filtering Capability
Over the years we have struggled to extrude polymers perfectly clean for some of our highest demanding customers.
One of the biggest problem projects was extruding balloon tubing. Balloons are made with very close tolerances and when they are blown, some of the wall thicknesses are as low at .0005″ and if there is any particles in the walls they could have premature failures.
Most resin materials we purchased have un-melted gels and native materials that are larger then the .005″ and can’t be used.
Over several years of study, we have come up with a variety of filtering systems to filter the resin as it goes through our extruders to eliminate particles larger than 3 microns.
